Once in a lifetime educational experience for most people. I loved that we were able to mush our own 4-dog teams. I believe Dallas is the only musher in Alaska that lets you mush your own team . … Full review by Happiness61453222641

There will be no snow in August, however, you still have some options if you would like to go mushing. A popular option is the dryland tour, where the dogs pull a wheeled cart that you ride on. For the real deal you can fly to a glacier (year round snow!) via helicopter and mush on a real dog sled. Both options should have puppies since most sled dog puppies are born in the summer. Our company does no summer tours, but you can find more information on those tours at Ididaride Sled Dog Tours.

Yes I think so. My sister rode in the sled. There were two wooden seats on the sled. The musher was behind her standing up, then I was behind him on another sled standing up. I was supposed to be the brake person. When he yelled Stop I was supposed to hit the brake with my boot. Well that didn't go to well! It was a really fun different excursion. We had a good time!
