Akron's leaders are urging restraint and patience until the Akron Police Department and the city administration release more information that could shed light on the fatal police shooting of 15-year-old Jazmir Tucker.

Gary and Kathy Green remain devastated several days after their 15-year-old grandson, Jazmir Tucker, was shot and killed by an Akron police officer.

A 15-year-old boy, whom authorities said was carrying a loaded firearm when he was fatally shot by police officers late Thursday, was a ninth-grader at North High School, according to Akron Public Schools.

The department says the officer saw the teen with a loaded gun before firing. The suspect, since identified as 15-year-old Jazmir Tucker, later died at the hospital.
