CAIRO (AP) — Egyptian officials said Tuesday a fire that engulfed a main telecom company building in downtown Cairo a day earlier left four people dead and over two dozen injured.

Four workers were killed and at least 22 others were injured in a fire that broke out on Monday at a key data centre in Cairo, Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the spokesperson at Egypt’s Health Ministry, told Reuters on Tuesday.

A major fire broke out at a telecommunications facility in central Cairo on Monday, injuring at least 14 people and causing widespread service disruptions across the capital, according to Egypt's health ministry.
