Former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor has been found liable for a 2018 sexual assault in a civil lawsuit in Ireland.

Conor McGregor has been ordered to pay a woman more than $250,000 after a civil jury in Dublin, Ireland, found the MMA fighter liable for sexual assault.

A civil suit filed in Ireland alleged that McGregor had sex with a woman without her consent in 2018 in Dublin. McGregor says he will appeal.

The mixed martial arts fighter known as “Notorious” was ordered to pay the equivalent of about $260,000 to a woman who said he raped her in 2018.

McGregor denied the allegations, testifying that he never forced the woman to do anything against her will, per the AP.

Nikita Hand, the woman who accused Conor McGregor of a 2018 sexual assault in a civil case in Dublin High Court, has won her case against the UFC superstar. The jury returned their verdict on Friday morning.

A civil jury determined that McGregor was liable of sexually assaulting Hand, and has been ordered to pay damages to her totaling nearly €250,000, which converts into roughly $257,000 in U.S. dollars, according to the Associated Press and the Guardian.
