According to court documents filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, the father of six offered the agent — whom he believed to be a hitman — $20,000 to kill his wife and $5,000 for each adult child, ages 21 to 34.

Mohammed allegedly offered to pay the undercover agent $20,000 for the murder of his wife, and an additional $5,000 each for his six children. According to court records, Mohammed also showed the hitman images of cars belonging to his family that he had set on fire. Mohammed was taken into federal custody on Monday.
