Russian aerial strike on Ukraine kills 6, including 2 children, as kindergarten hit, Kyiv says
LONDON -- Russia overnight launched a heavy air attack on Ukraine -- including striking Kyiv with drones and ballistic missiles -- that killed at least six people, including two children.
Ukrainian forces have carried out a strike on the Bryansk Chemical Plant, a key facility within the military-industrial complex of the aggressor state. — Ukrinform.
Ukraine's defense ministry said it continues to hit Russia's industries, "weakening the offensive potential of the aggressor state."
Although there has been no official confirmation that it carried out the strike, Ukraine has increased its attacks on Russian refineries and other energy facilities since August in an effort to disrupt petrol supplies and deprive Moscow of funding.
Ukraine has never used American weapons to strike distant targets on Russian territory. Various long-range weapons have been used in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea and in the east of the country.
