Longhorns head football coach Steve Sarkisian and Quinn Ewers addressed the Texas QB's ankle injury after a Week 13 win over Kentucky.

The third-year starter's future status has yet to be confirmed despite reports revealing he's expected to declare for the NFL draft, but Saturday's game was being treated as the final home game of his Texas career. He and the Longhorns got off to a hot start in the first half, going up by as many as 17 points.

Steve Sarkisian is hoping Quinn Ewers can lead Texas football fans to the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta, not leave them on the couch.

Sarkisian may feel a bit of dissatisfaction from Texas fans at the moment, many of whom approach the end of 2024 with some unease about the performance of starting quarterback Quinn Ewers and the offense writ large (Texas won 20-10 at 5-5 Arkansas on Saturday). Sarkisian is still well within his rights to offer a jab at his program's detractors.
