Georgia's pro-Western president has said she will stay in post until new parliamentary elections are held, as protests continue over the government's decision to put EU accession negotiations on hold.

The U.S. Department of State announced the suspension of the strategic partnership agreement with Georgia. This decision was made in response to mass protests that took place in Tbilisi.

Second night of protests in Tbilisi against the government's decision to suspend the EU accession process until 2028, with police using tear gas and water cannons to disperse demonstrators from
