While some foods from the Thanksgiving holiday spread such as turkey, carrots and apple are safe for dogs, others such as pie can be harmful for them.

Your dog will beg for anything at that table, but you shouldn't give in. Some foods are harmful to their health. Here is a list of things dogs should not eat or drink: Chocolate, cookies, pies and other sweets (as well as anything “sugar free” or containing xylitol, which can be fatal for dogs)

Some foods like plain turkey and sweet potatoes are OK for pets to consume in moderation on the holiday. Desserts and poultry bones should be kept away from furry friends.
