Meteorologists have been tracking the storm for the past week, with its chances of forming increasing gradually. Tropical Storm Sara is expected to form by Thursday morning, becoming a hurricane by Friday night and a major hurricane by Saturday night, AccuWeather said.

The potential tropical cyclone is expected to become a tropical storm within the next day or so, the National Hurricane Center said. Honduras, Belize, El Salvador, eastern Guatemala and western Nicaragua are forecast to feel tropical storm and hurricane conditions in the next two days.

The National Hurricane Center is tracking a disturbance in the Atlantic Ocean with a 90% chance of strengthening into a serious storm over the next week.
