A&E has countersued Wendy Williams’ guardian Sabrina Morrissey amid the ongoing legal battle over the controversial Lifetime documentary about the former talk show host.

Sabrina E. Morrissey is being accused of “misusing her position” to “silence criticism of her controversial and failed administration” of the guardianship.

Wendy Williams' guardian gave an update on the former talk-show host's health battle in a recent letter to the court.

In the complaint, Morrissey says that the contracts Williams may have signed, including an “on-camera talent agreement,” are invalid because they were not shared with her guardian. The filming for the documentary began in August 2022 and ended in April 2023 — one month before Williams’s initial diagnosis.

Basically, Williams had her bank accounts frozen by Wells Fargo back in 2022 (not long after The Wendy Williams Show went off the air), with the bank requesting that a guardian be put in place to manage her affairs.

Sadly, Wendy Williams' ongoing battle with early-onset dementia has advanced, according to her court-appointed guardian. It looks like her career is all but over at this point.
