The investigation continues after a parent was shot and killed outside a high school in south suburban Country Club Hills.Hillcrest High School was closed for Veterans Day Monday, so the campus was largely empty as Country Club Hills police said they continued to investigate the tragic shooting.

The Country Club Hills Police Department has released images of a vehicle believed to have been involved in a deadly shooting in the parking lot of Hillcrest High School during a basketball tournament over the weekend.

Investigators have shared new information with the public about a shooting that left a parent dead outside of a junior high school basketball tournament in Country Club Hills. It happened Saturday outside Hillcrest High School.

"It's not the kids that go to the school. It's always outside," local activist Stringer Harris said of the gun violence
