The NBA admitted Thursday it made a mistake. The league released a statement announcing a scoring error was made during a game Wednesday between the Golden State Warriors and Portland Trail Blazers and was therefore changing the final score from 139-104 to 140-104.

As it turns out, however, the game officials made a huge mistake during the contest. The NBA announced on Thursday that there was a scoring error during the game as the officials failed to credit the Warriors one point in the third quarter off of a De'Anthony Melton free throw.

On Wednesday evening, the Golden State Warriors are playing their first game of the season against the Portland Trail Blazers in Oregon. Steph Curry had eight points, four rebounds, seven assists and two steals while shooting 1/7 from the field and 0/4 from the three-point range in his first 17 minutes of playing time.
