An actor and stunt co-ordinator who injured his leg has reached his £25,000 fundraising target for treatment with help from his friend Russell Crowe. Charlie Allan, from the Scottish Borders, teaches and performs combat in film and television.

Russell Crowe has donated £5,000 ($6,336) to Charlie Allan to help save his leg after the stuntman fell off his roof while renovating the entrance of his garage.

Stuntman Charlie Allan, who starred alongside the Hollywood legend in Gladiator, is hoping for a leg-saving operation.
