The Sounders' second half of the season was one of the more remarkable stretches in franchise history, but there was nothing to celebrate Saturday in a 1-1 draw with rival Portland.

Antony Alves Santos scored in the second half to help the Portland Timbers earn a 1-1 draw with the Seattle Sounders in a Decision Day match to close out the regular season.

The Cascadia Cup -- the three-team competition between Portland, Seattle and Vancouver -- is also at stake. The Sounders will claim the Cup with a victory, while the Timbers can win it with a win or a draw.

The Sounders played the rival Timbers to a 1-1 draw Saturday in front of the largest crowd of the season at Lumen Field. The result gave the Timbers the Cascadia Cup trophy.

Portland claimed the Cascadia Cup for the first time since the 2022 season. And the Timbers' playoff matchup is set.
