Taylor Hall said he woke up Thursday morning with a smile on his face. For good reason. Hall hit the ice with the Chicago Blackhawks for the first practice of training camp after he missed most of last season because of right knee surgery.

The Blackhawks are building a monster with some top draft picks over the past two seasons creating prospects ready for 2024-25 training camp.

The easy answer here is Tyler Bertuzzi and Teuvo Teräväinen, the veteran wingers whom the Blackhawks signed to four- and three-year contracts, respectively. Bertuzzi’s nose for the net and scrappiness and Teräväinen’s playmaking ability would be significant upgrades for Bedard and help him take the next step offensively in his sophomore season.

Taylor Hall, who missed most of last season because of right knee surgery, said he's "100% healthy" as training camp begins for the Blackhawks.
