Baramati: Maharashtra deputy Chief Minister and NCP president Ajit Pawar on Saturday won from his traditional Baramati assembly constituency by defeating his nephew and NCP (SP) candidate Yugendra Pawar by more than one lakh votes.

Ajit Pawar, leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), secured a resounding victory in the Baramati assembly constituency, defeating his nephew and solidifying his political standing. This win marks his eighth consecutive term and a significant power shift within the Pawar family.

Ajit Pawar, the national president of NCP, won Baramati seat for an eighth consecutive time, securing 1,81,132 votes. Yugendra had to remain content with 80,233 votes.
