Chris Weidman revealed he won’t be fully compensated after his UFC 309 fight was canceled last minute. It was a devastating blow for the former UFC middleweight champion, who had friends and family fly in to watch him fight. Weidman does, however, appreciate the UFC for trying to find a last-minute replacement.

Chris Weidman was left a sizable chunk of cash down when Eryk Anders' illness scuppered his plans of competing at UFC 309 earlier this month.

Weidman's last octagon outing at UFC Atlantic City earlier this year ended in a controversial fashion. The 40-year-old secured an unanimous decision win against Bruno Silva, however Silva accused Weidman of intentional eye pokes which led to his defeat.

UFC 309 has taken a major hit as a bout between former middleweight champ Chris Weidman and Eryk Anders has been pulled from the card.
