The 9NEWS Weather Impact Team has issued a Weather Impact Day for Thursday morning because of the snow that will affect the morning drive.

A Pinpoint Weather Alert Day has been issued as light snow returns on Thursday morning despite overall warmer temperatures for the Denver weather forecast.

Snow across parts of the Denver metro area Thursday morning

If you’re among the tens of millions experiencing warmer weather across the country, these scenes may look a little strange. But it wasn’t warm and clear everywhere – this was the situation in parts of Colorado on Thursday.

Weather Advisory is active through 5 p.m. Thursday for the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Wet Mountains, upper Rio Grande Valley and eastern San Juan Mountains, NWS forecasters said.

While Denver remained mostly dry, aside from a sprinkle of rain and snow in the early morning hours, other parts of Colorado saw over half a foot of snow.
