The carbon monoxide leak occurred at a house in the Waldo County town of Freedom that had been raided by law enforcement agencies earlier this year because it was the site of an illegal marijuana growing operation,

He says they received a call at 6 a.m. about a propane leak and discovered it was carbon monoxide from a severed heat exhaust pipe.

The Waldo County Sheriff's Office says two people are dead and two more were hospitalized with carbon monoxide poisoning after a leak in Freedom.
