Baylor’s basketball program just landed a 7-foot center with some serious NBA pedigree. James Nnaji officially committed to the Bears for the second half of the season, and the timing could not be better.

James Nnaji committed to play college basketball at Baylor and will join the Bears as a mid-year enrollee. He was previously selected with the No. 31

Though he never played in an NBA regular-season game, he played five games with the Knicks during the 2025 NBA Summer League, averaging 3.2 points and 3.6 rebounds in those contests. At one point he guarded former No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama.
