New York Giants co-owner John Mara included an important qualifier in his vote of confidence for coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen last month. “We are not making any changes this season,” Mara said when the Giants were 2-5 on Oct. 23. “And I do not anticipate making any changes in the offseason either.”

The team made the decision to go all in on Daniel Jones, allowing Saquon Barkley and Xavier McKinney to leave via free agency and reallocating those resources in the offensive line and Brian Burns. The majority of fans were confident that the team was headed in the right direction when the season started.

Giants assistant GM Brandon Brown’s name popped up on this list — and he’s certainly well respected both in the organization and across the league — though it’s unclear if Mara would want to hire from within after such a disastrous past two seasons.
