Jeremy Cole -- a husband, father of four and an Endicott College police sergeant -- was killed in a wrong-way crash on I-95 in Newbury early on Thanksgiving morning

Endicott College police Sgt. Jeremy Cole, while driving home from his shift at the campus, was killed after his Chevrolet Trailblazer was struck head-on by a wrong-way driver on I-95 northbound in Newbury, Massachusetts, according to Endicott College Chief of Police Kerry Ramsdell.

Jeremy Cole’s death, which occurred on the eve of the Thanksgiving holiday, ignited an outpouring of sympathy and support from the Endicott College community and police departments around New England.

The Newbury Fire Department responded just after midnight to the serious motor vehicle crash on I-95 northbound near Exit 81 and found two passenger cars had crashed head-on.
