At least 15 people in Minnesota have been sickened by E. coli poisoning tied to a national recall of more than 167,000 pounds of potentially tainted ground beef, federal health officials said. Detroit-based Wolverine Packing Co.

At least 19 Minnesotans fell ill from E. coli linked to a national recall of over 167,000 pounds of ground beef. Restaurants across Minnesota were affected, and four cases required hospitalization.

The recall has been initiated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) after the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) linked more than a dozen E. coli sicknesses to burgers served at Red Cow locations and the downtown Minneapolis restaurant Hen House Eatery.

According to the University of Florida, that's the highest turnout rate in the country right now. Wisconsin, which is currently ranked second with a 76.37% turnout rate, is still working to certify its election results.

The number of eligible voters increased in 2023 when voting rights were restored for more than 55,000 Minnesotans who have left prison behind.
