Thunderstorm chances increase on Wednesday and Thursday across Northern California. These storms could be strong and a few funnel clouds or a tornado can't be ruled out. The Storm Prediction Center has a portion of the Central Valley under a marginal thunderstorm threat on Wednesday.

A lot of weather will be impacting Northern California through the holiday, with valley winds and thunderstorms, and heavy Sierra snow.

On Wednesday at 3:05 a.m. the NWS San Francisco CA released an updated severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 3:15 a.m. The warning is for San Mateo, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties.

A Tornado Warning has been issued for parts of Santa Cruz County on Christmas, the National Weather Service said.
