America's kitchen trash bins are receiving more unwanted food as appetites falter among people taking GLP-1 weight-loss meds, a new study shows.

Research shows that 1 in 8 adults in the US has used one of the popular GLP-1 medications, most of them trying to manage chronic conditions such as diabetes and heart disease and others to help them lose weight.

Lentils are full of fiber, which “slows down digestion,” once again reproducing the effect of the GLP-1 drugs, at a cost of cents per meal, versus the $250 per week or more some Americans are paying when they can’t get insurance to cover the pricey shots.
