A two-car accident has closed Route 8 northbound early Sunday morning. Emergency responders arrived at the scene near Exit 30 at 3:11 a.m. Injuries have been reported, but the extent of those injuries remains unclear at this time.

A northbound section of Route 8 in Waterbury is closed for investigation due to a two-vehicle crash, according to state police. State police say at around 3:11 a.m., troopers arrived at exit 30 where a motor vehicle accident occurred.
