Through most of the first half of Utah State’s home finale against San Diego State on Saturday, the Aggies didn’t play particularly well. On offense especially. It was supposed to be something of a shootout given the season-long struggles on defense for both the Aggies and Aztecs,

Utah State is officially in the midst of a winning streak. The Aggies won their second straight game Saturday with a 41-20 victory over visiting San Diego State. After falling behind 13-0 in the first half, USU scored 41 straight points before the Aztecs added a garbage time touchdown.

Falslev led the Aggies (5-0) with 25 points and 12 rebounds on 9-of-15 shooting in a 77-69 win over the Hawkeyes in Kansas City. Utah State handed Iowa (5-1) its first loss of the season and held it to the lowest scoring output of the season for the Hawkeyes.

The Aztecs made it a one-score contest again after Mikey Welsh caught a 67-yard pass to get San Diego State inside the Utah State 20, and SDSU quarterback Danny O’Neil scored on a 5-yard scramble with 1:01 to play, making it 29-21 with the extra point.

If a football team scores the first 13 points of a game and knocks the opposing team's quarterback out in the 1st half, it's perfectly acceptable to assume that team ended up winning the game. It's certainly reasonable to think maybe they lost but it was close.
