With Brayan Bello and Kutter Crawford’s availability in question, several of the Red Sox’s up-and-coming young starters could have a chance to earn a spot in the Opening Day rotation.
Kutter Crawford, who is in the mix for a multi-inning bullpen role with the Red Sox, is working back from knee soreness.
Crawford (knee) threw a bullpen session Friday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports. Crawford has been eased into things early on in Red Sox camp as he tries to get past patellar tendon soreness, and it's a good sign that he's been cleared for mound work.
