The body of a woman who fell into the Grand River has been recovered, according to Michigan State Police (MSP).

KENTWOOD, MI — A distillery near Grand Rapids in Kentwood has officially closed its doors to the public after six years of serving hand-crafted spirits and hard seltzers. Wise Men Distillery announced in a Jan. 29 Facebook post that the company made the “tough decision” to close the business.

Michigan State Police pulled a woman's body from the Grand River Thursday afternoon, according to the city of Grand Rapids.

The body of a woman who went missing after falling into the Grand River on Saturday was recovered by crews on Thursday afternoon. The Grand Rapids Fire Department (GRFD) said around 10:25 p.m. on Saturday the department's water rescue team was dispatched to the Grand River on reports that a woman had entered the river and was being carried down by the fast-running waters.
