The Philadelphia Eagles have made an official ruling on Jalen Hurts' availability vs. the Dallas Cowboys in Week 17.

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said it's going be "tough" for quarterback Jalen Hurts to play against the Dallas Cowboys, given where he is in the concussion protocol.

PHILADELPHIA − Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts went through another practice Thursday, another indication that he could be cleared out of the NFL's concussion protocol in time to play in the team's playoff game Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.

Hurts has been out since suffering a concussion on Dec. 22, but could be trending towards a return on Sunday for the playoffs.

Since first landing on the injury report, Brown had 8 catches for 97 yards and a touchdown against the Commanders and 3 catches for 36 yards and a touchdown against the Cowboys. He and many starters rested in the regular season finale against the Giants.

PHILADELPHIA -- Eagles coach Nick Sirianni signaled that Kenny Pickett will get the start Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys as Jalen Hurts continues to recover from a concussion. " [ Hurts] is still in the protocol. It's going to be tough for him to make it this week," Sirianni said Friday prior to the quarterback being officially ruled out.

Hurts, who suffered a concussion against the Washington Commanders on Dec. 22, missed the Eagles' final two regular-season games while going through the NFL's concussion protocol.

Jalen Hurts returned to practice after a two-week layoff with a concussion; he is expected to start Sunday. Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love is nursing a sore elbow.
