DL Chris Jones and RB Isiah Pacheco did not participate in practice on Thursday ahead of the #Chiefs’ Week 18 matchup against the #Broncos.
Although he didn’t take the field at Acrisure Stadium, Jones was not a passive bystander on Christmas. Jones was with the team and he delivered a stirring pregame message for the defensive linemen as the Chiefs prepared to play for the third time in 11 days.
The Chiefs (14-1) made Jones inactive for their Christmas Day meeting with Pittsburgh (10-5). Jones, a five-time Pro Bowler, is dealing with a calf injury he sustained late in last week's victory over Houston. This is just the eighth game Jones has missed since entering the league in 2016.
