The former was ejected and then reinstated and the latter was ejected for good in a crazy win over Victor Wembanyama's squad.

When the San Antonio Spurs drafted Victor Wembanyama first overall in the 2023 NBA Draft, their timeline immediately shifted. Instead of being five years away from competing, the Spurs immediately became relevant again and can chase a title as soon as their young star is ready.

The 2025 NBA trade deadline is on the horizon. The Philadelphia 76ers will presumably be buyers, though they are not among the most eager teams to make a big splash. The Sixers prefer not to tank the remainder of this season, but their losing record will surely influence their approach before the deadline on Thursday, February 6.

The reigning rookie of the year is an NBA All-Star for the first time, with the 21-year-old from France one of the 14 players announced Thursday night as members of the reserve pool for the midseason exhibition that will take place Feb. 16 at the home of the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco.

Several hours before tip-off, the Lakers announced a schedule update for two of their other games. The Lakers were scheduled to host the San Antonio Spurs on Jan. 11, but the game was postponed indefinitely due to the wildfires in the Southern California area. That matchup has now been moved to March 17, set for 10:30 p.m. ET.

Andre Drummond recently shared a humorous and unexpected encounter with Victor Wembanyama during a game between the Philadelphia 76ers and the San Antonio Spurs, offering a glimpse into the young French center's already-established star status in the NBA.

George, 34, has had an underwhelming debut season with the 76ers, averaging 17.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game. George is set to miss his 16th game of the season, amid his worst statistical year in about a decade.

The Cavaliers are far from the only professional team to utilize Penn’s facilities during their stints in the city. In recent years, Donahue says “numerous” NBA franchises have used the Palestra and neighboring Rockwell Gymnasium for practice and shootaround, including the San Antonio Spurs, Golden State Warriors, and Memphis Grizzlies.

Wembanyama becomes only the fourth Spurs player to make the All-Star Game in his first or second season. The others: Alvin Robertson in 1986, David Robinson in 1990 and 1991, and Tim Duncan in 1998.
