The Attleboro Fire Department is alerting residents after a venomous snake was reported to have bitten two dogs in the area.
ATTLEBORO — What was originally believed to be a copperhead snake that reportedly bit two dogs along the Ten Mile River may just have been a non-venemous northern water snake.
The snake, believed to be a rare copperhead, was reported along Attleboro’s Ten Mile River near Milk Street, officials wrote.

Firefighters sent out a warning, saying the two dogs were recently bitten near the Ten Mile River and Milk Street and reports say it’s a copperhead snake.
