It's been an ongoing battle for more than a month as Bristol, Tennessee City Council and residents go back and forth about the proposed tax increase.

The Knoxville City Council on Tuesday gave the go-ahead to three major engineering projects, including a high-tech project to improve traffic flow along a busy roadway.
