After 14 seasons, Blue Bloods is nearing the end, with its final batch of episodes airing on the 2024 TV schedule. While much of the BB cast have only been working on the CBS procedural since 2010 aside from a few minor roles here and there,

Donnie Wahlberg revealed that costar Tom Selleck broke down in tears while filming the final scenes of Blue Bloods. “He’s really tall and he’s standing above everyone in the back corner just watching with tears in his eyes.

"There's no pressure to get off of a plane at 6 a.m. and run to the set and go to the dinner scene," the actor explained. "In fact, it's a dream come true"

Selleck's Blue Bloods costar Donnie Wahlberg wasn't immune while shooting the series' final episode after 14 years on the air. "On the last day, I was filming all my squad room scenes and it's kinda like where I hold court as Danny Reagan, and Tom Selleck came in just to watch," Wahlberg explained on SiriusXM's Andy Cohen Live.

The beginning of the end of Blue Bloods starts on Friday, October 18, with the first of the last eight episodes of the long-running CBS drama, but the possibility of this world expanding has come up since news of its cancellation.

"She's that extra person at the family dinner," Wahlberg's costar Bridget Moynahan revealed on The Drew Barrymore Show in April. "The phone is always there, and in between takes it's like, 'Hi, honey,' 'Hi, honey,' and we're all, 'Jenny!" So she's always there."

Hollywood legend Tom Selleck was left devastated when CBS canceled his popular show Blue Bloods at the end of last year after fourteen seasons. Selleck spent much of the past year trying to save Blue Bloods while openly criticizing CBS for canceling the beloved program.
