During the closure, drivers headed east on I-40 will be diverted to take Exit 153 onto I-30 westbound, and then take Exit 142 at Curtis Sykes Drive in North Little Rock to turn around and get back onto I-30 east and then I-40 east.

The Arkansas Department of Transportation has scheduled a full closure Saturday night for eastbound Interstate 40 in North Little Rock.

Traffic along I-30 westbound is currently being impacted due to an accident in the area. According to ARDOT, both the left lane and left shoulder are blocked near mile marker 139.9 in Little Rock. Traffic cameras in the area show that this has caused a traffic backup that appears to go across the river and into North Little Rock.
