The NWS Las Vegas NV released a winter storm warning at 1:07 p.m. on Wednesday in effect until Friday at 4 p.m. for Eastern Sierra Slopes of Inyo County.
“The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages,” the NWS warned in its advisory. “Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Travel could be very difficult to impossible.”
An updated winter storm warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Monday at 6:29 p.m. valid from Tuesday 10 p.m. until Friday Dec. 26, at 10 a.m. for the Greater Lake Tahoe Area.
