The New York Yankees may have lost to the Baltimore Orioles on Monday night, but it wasn’t all negative. Aaron Boone called Devin Williams to warm up and get to the mound in the eighth inning, marking the first time he would pitch for them since being removed from the closer role.

“For right now, I think it’s best for everyone that we pull him out of that role and try to start building some good rhythm and confidence and momentum,” Aaron Boone said Sunday. “And we fully expect him to be a central figure for us moving forward.”
