Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya was hailed by his manager Mikel Arteta and Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini after the Spaniard's miraculous double save earned his side a 0-0 draw in the Champions League on Thursday.

Raya gave a big roar and was mobbed by Arsenal's players in the goalmouth. The goalkeeper performed a similar double save in the Premier League this season at Aston Villa to deny Ollie Watkins, before Arsenal went on to score twice in the second half for a 2-0.

A question of volume by Thibaut Courtois against a moment of magnificence from David Raya? It's the Arsenal man who just shades it, his double save from Mateo Retegui's penalty was that good. Admittedly the header on the rebound by the Atalanta striker was as tame as you will see in the Champions League this season but Raya still had to scramble halfway across the goal after what was a very good initial save.
