Thousands of counterfeit Gibson electric guitars were seized in a multi-agency investigation at the Los Angeles-Long Beach Seaport.

"Intellectual property theft is not a victimless crime," said HSI Los Angeles Deputy Special Agent in Charge John Pasciucco.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials Tuesday announced the seizure of more than 3,000 counterfeit Gibson guitars, which they called the largest seizure on record of fake musical instruments.
