Qualcomm Inc.’s interest in pursuing an acquisition of Intel Corp. has cooled, according to people familiar with the matter, upending what would have likely been one of the largest technology deals of all time.

Qualcomm’s interest in acquiring Intel has reportedly waned due to the complications around the deal and it may instead look at buying portions of the company.

The complexities associated with acquiring all of Intel has made a deal less attractive to Qualcomm, Bloomberg reported, saying that it is possible Qualcomm may look at pieces of Intel instead or rekindle its interest later.
