As the pitching dominoes have started to fall in free agency, Nathan Eovaldi is starting to see his market develop with two playoff contenders interested

Now that Blake Snell is off the board after signing a five-year, $182 million deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday night, teams are pivoting to other pitching options. Two of those teams, the Baltimore Orioles and Atlanta Braves, appear to be looking elsewhere for a top-end arm.

The one free agent linked to the Braves the most to this point in the offseason has been two-time World Series champion Nathan Eovaldi. It began with MLB.com’s Mark Bowman, who said Eovaldi is at the top of the Braves’ free agency wish list,

It certainly seems like the Atlanta Braves need to add some pitching. Braves All-Star Max Fried is a free agent and has had ties to the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees among other teams. Fried is one of the most sought-after free agents available on the open market and with Blake Snell now off the market,

Based on their Jorge Soler and Ramon Laureano decisions, Alex Anthopoulos and the Braves seem intent on cutting payroll this offseason.
