Oracle Corp is in negotiations with Skydance Media for a significant software deal, potentially worth $100 million, contingent on Skydance's acquisition of Paramount Global. Bloomberg reports that these discussions focus on enhancing cloud services once the acquisition is finalized.
The cloud deal with Skydance-Paramount comes shortly after Oracle announced a new round of spending in Europe. The company said it plans to invest US$3 billion over the next five years to expand its data centre capacity in Germany and the Netherlands. Oracle has earmarked US$2 billion for Germany and US$1 billion for Dutch operations.
Oracle is reportedly in discussions with Skydance Media for a cloud computing and software deal worth up to $100 million per year following Skydance's acquisition of Paramount Global. Skydance Media was founded by Oracle founder and CTO Larry Ellison's son, David Ellison.
