Actress Parvathy Thiruvothu, who starred alongside Dhanush in the 2013 film Maryan, recently voiced her support for actress Nayanthara. This came after Nayanthara published an open letter accusing Dhanush of allegedly plagiarizing her documentary,

Parvathy revealed another important reason for taking a stand for Nayanthara. She said, “I know what it feels like to be unsupported. I have gone through it. I also know how much support can change a person. Thinking in that way, I will always stand for those people, especially if they are women.”
