The New York Knicks and Phoenix Suns are interested in hiring Milwaukee Bucks top assistant Darvin Ham for their vacancies regarding the same role, according to NBA insider Marc Stein.

Ham, who won an NBA championship with the Bucks in 2021 and also one as a player in 2004 with the Detroit Pistons, came to Milwaukee last year after serving a two-year stint with the Los Angeles Lakers as their head coach from 2022 to 2024, and was the lead assistant coach under head coach Doc Rivers.

Following Tom Thibodeau's departure, the New York Knicks are actively searching for a new head coach. While showing interest in Dallas Mavericks' Jason Kidd, the Knicks are also eyeing Darvin Ham, recently let go by the Los Angeles Lakers.
