The National Hurricane Center has identified several locations in the Atlantic as "areas of interest." There is good news when it comes to the National Hurricane Center Tropical Outlook; the Atlantic Ocean basin may remain quiet for the next few days.

Tropical weather outlookAn area of low pressure in the Northwestern Caribbean Sea will likely form by the early or middle of next week, with slow development possible. The system is expected to move north or northwest with a near zero percent formation chance over 48 hours and 60% over seven days.

The National Hurricane Center is continuing to forecast the development of a tropical disturbance that could move into the Gulf of Mexico next week and become a tropical depression. The disturbance hasn’t formed yet, however.
