An XR headset isn't the only device mentioned in Samsung's filing. While the patent doesn't dive too deeply into the topic, it does inlcude a set of smart glasses. They are shown both alone and next to the headset. The patent lists the glasses as a "wearable device for displaying visual objects."

Samsung is working on some kind of XR hardware and, while it has yet to detail the product publicly, a newly published patent (spotted by 91mobiles) has given us our best look yet at what it’s working on – as well as teasing that Samsung is unsure what form its XR gadget should actually take.

Samsung has seemingly confirmed that its XR hardware was delayed after all, but simultaneously revealed that its long-awaited VR/AR device will still land “in the future” – with its inclusion in Samsung’s 2025 outlook suggesting a launch sometime next year.
