UConn men’s basketball hopes to salvage at least one win out of a disappointing trip to the Maui Invitational when it meets Dayton for 7th place Wednesday night.

Dayton has overcome an early deficit to take the lead back in this one. They have a bit of a cushion as they currently lead N. Carolina 51-33. Dayton entered the game having won five straight and they're just one half away from another.

North Carolina and Dayton close out the opening day of the 2024 Maui Invitational on Monday evening. Last time out, the Flyers (5-0) breezed to a 21-point demolition of New Mexico State. Senior forward Nate Santos — a member of the Atlantic 10 Preseason First Team — scored a season-high 23 points in the win.
