Emirates Airline remains resolutely focused on premium passengers, having taken a "diametrically opposite" view to many of its rivals as the industry emerged from the Covid-19 pandemic, says the carrier's president Sir Tim Clark.

Emirates has introduced its first Airbus A350-900 aircraft at an event showcase in Dubai. The event, led by Emirates Airline President Sir Tim Clark and attended by UAE Minister of Economy Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, brought together VIPs, aerospace partners, government officials, media, and aviation enthusiasts.

Emirates' A350 will commence commercial service on January 3 on the Dubai (DXB) – Edinburgh (EDI) route. The aircraft is the first of 65 A350-900XWBs ordered by the Dubai-based carrier and the first new type to join Emirates’ fleet since 2008.
